Josefine Parker lives rurally outside Nashville and is a Slavic-American from Maryland. Her writing and performance work grounds sacredness in nature, transition, and the surreal. She holds an MDiv from Vanderbilt University and has chaplaincy training and years of herbal hormone experience. Josefine has written for Lilac Peril, Mergoat Mag, GARLAND, Fifth Estate, and RFD.

The rural area where she lives in Middle Tennessee is a mountainous region with temperate deciduous rainforest and is the occupied hunting territory of Southeastern Woodlands nations and tribes, including the Muscogee (Creek), Uchi, Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, and Seminole.
